The kids loved Rotary today. Some of the guys in the club said it's evidently clear they take after their mom because they are beautiful.
I'm taking the kids to Rotary today... I figure I'd show them off before they go back to school Monday.

Is the United States Flag Alive?

The Federal Government Believes the US Flag is Alive... Do You? As you drive to work.. be sure to notice those tremendous flag poles at the car dealerships and banks. Observe the graceful maneuvers of the American Flag... some days she looks similar to a feather blown about with each wind of doctrine. Some days she looks as though she is shadow boxing, ducking and dodging, throwing out violent jabs and uppercuts, popping and kicking with every burst of wind. Millions salute her, vow allegiance to her; millions lay to rest underneath her, while their treasured loved ones cry over her. So, ask yourself what is so extraordinary concerning this dyed nylon four-sided figure with a gathering of symbolic stars and stripes sewn on it? What is the flag’s purpose? What precisely does it signify? Well, the simple answer is, “to each his own”. For me, SHE represents my right to raise my kids in the admonition of the Lord with no controversy. For me, she gives me the right to pursue happiness and the privilege to take pleasure in it when I catch it. For me, she symbolizes a solid foundation in which my family can build a life that’s more than abundant. For me, the flag’s purpose is to build union in the bond of peace. She also functions as a admonition to others who wish for to rob that peace. For me, the flag represents the better things of life… quarter pounder with cheese, Oreo cookies, Nascar, and Country music. Of course "to each his own" on those things as well.
Legally the federal Government gave us a definitive answer to my original question;Title 4 Section 8(j)… The flag represents a living country and is itself considered a living thing. Therefore, the lapel flag pin being a replica, should be worn on the left lapel near the heart.

Is the American Flag alive? Well, for this fervent Patriot… For me, the answer is a definitive YES!
